Realme Flagship Phone Teased with Bezel-less Display and Pop-up Camera
Earlier today, Redmi posted a video on Weibo teasing its upcoming flagship smartphone with bezel-less display & pop-up selfie camera. Now, Realme posted the promo video teasing its flagship smartphone with the same features. Unlike the Redmi smartphone, the pop-up camera on the Realme’s upcoming flagship smartphone is center aligned. The company will be debuting in China with this flagship smartphone. While there is no confirmation, it will be officially launched in the month of May.
It was recently spotted on TENAA with the model number RMX1901. Based on the rumors, the flagship smartphone will be accompanied by the newly launched Realme 3 Pro smartphone. Talking about the flagship smartphone, the TENAA listing revealed it to sport a 6.5-inch true bezel-less display with no notch. We expect it to be the AMOLED display with Full HD+ resolution. While the promo video revealed the pop-up camera, the TENAA listing confirmed the dual camera setup on the rear.
The device will be backed by a 3,680mAh non-removable battery and measures 9.4mm thickness (including the camera bump). It should be running on the latest ColorOS 6.0 based on Android 9.0 Pie out of the box. While the power button is placed on the right side, the volume rocker sits on the other side. The 3.5mm headphone jack can be spotted on the bottom. We hope this time the company uses USB Type-C port instead of the dated MicroUSB 2.0 port for charging.
From the TENAA images, we can see the fingerprint scanner is missing on the rear. It might actually come with an in-display fingerprint scanner.
